I started The fun house family day care in Stanhope Gardens, New South Wales in October 2004. Since then, I have been happily serving young families with parents who are working and looking for a safe and registered childcare provider to entrust their children with.
I hold a master’s degree in psychology and had been a school counsellor and relationship counsellor in India. In addition, I have a Diploma in Children’s Services and training certificates in first aid, CPR, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), nutrition, as well as anaphylaxis and asthma management.
I started my career as a teacher at a junior high school just 2 months after I finished my master’s. Later on, I moved on to work as a high school teacher and taught social sciences.
I worked as a lecturer for a short while after I got married. When my children were born, I took a hiatus, and when they started school, I underwent training in counselling and became a school counsellor.
It was a few months after we moved to Australia while I was looking for a job to support my family that I came across the opportunity to become a family day care educator. I took the opportunity and never regretted my decision.
I love being with children. I have been lucky that I have the full support of my husband Bhupinder who is an engineer by profession. My two sons, Rushil, who is a renewable energy and sustainability graduate and currently in a job, and Soumil, who is taking commerce and actuarial studies, also have my back.
We adore the little ones and have built wonderful relationships with families whose children I have looked after in the past and are looking after now. My boys become their elder brothers and my husband their uncle.
